Magnus Cort wins O Gran Camiño stage two, while Wout van Aert prepares for Belgian classics.

Magnus Cort of Uno-X Mobility showcased his sprinting prowess by winning stage two of the O Gran Camiño, dominating the 133.2km route from Marín to A Estrada. Cort`s impressive lead-out and powerful finish allowed him to surge ahead of Iván Cobo from Equipo Kern Pharma, securing victory by several bike lengths. The stage, which traversed the hilly terrain of Galicia, saw an early breakaway caught with 20km remaining, setting the stage for intense competition on the Alto de San Vicenzo climb.

As the cycling world shifts focus, the opening weekend of the Belgian classics is on the horizon, featuring Omloop Het Nieuwsblad on Saturday and Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne on Sunday. Team Visma | Lease a Bike aims to continue their winning streak, having claimed victories in both races for the past two years. Wout van Aert, who expressed his excitement for the cobbled classics after a two-year absence, is expected to lead the charge. Other teams, including Bahrain Victorious and the new 8Ten Racing squad, are also preparing for the challenge ahead.

In track cycling, the Lloyds National Track Championships in Manchester attracted a record crowd of 11,077 fans.
