Rich Froning`s participation highlights the competitive spirit of the 2025 CrossFit Open, with many athletes qualifying for Semifinals.

The 2025 CrossFit Games season is heating up as the Open stage has concluded, showcasing impressive performances from athletes. Notably, 65.79% of men and 70% of women from the previous year`s CrossFit Games have successfully qualified for the next stage, which includes In-Affiliate Semifinals and In-Person Qualifying Events.

Legendary athlete Rich Froning made a remarkable appearance in the 2025 Open, finishing 80th at the age of 37, proving that age is just a number in the competitive world of CrossFit. The Semifinals will see the top 1% of athletes in the Individual men and women divisions, or a minimum of 1,200 athletes, competing for coveted spots at the CrossFit Games.

However, not all athletes found success in qualifying. Notable names such as Michelle Basnett, Alessandra Pichelli, Guilherme Malheiros, and Sean Sweeney did not make the cut, adding an element of surprise to the competition landscape. As the Semifinals approach, anticipation builds for the fierce battles that will determine who advances to the prestigious CrossFit Games.
