Mirjam von Rohr aims for her second CrossFit Open title as participation surges, with significant community support evident.

The 2025 CrossFit Open has seen a remarkable surge in women`s participation, with over 90,000 registered athletes, showcasing the sport`s expanding appeal. As the competition transitions into the Semifinals phase, stringent judging requirements and structured frameworks are set to challenge the competitors.

Among the standout performers is Mirjam von Rohr from Switzerland, who is on a quest to clinch her second consecutive Open title and secure her spot at the CrossFit Games after a disappointing finish last season. The Age-Group In-Affiliate Semifinals will kick off on April 3, while individual athlete invitations will be sent out on April 14. Team registrations are scheduled to open on April 27, with workouts being released on April 21.

The Mayhem Classic, taking place on April 5-6, promises a significant prize purse and serves as a qualifier for the prestigious CrossFit Games. Community support has been evident, highlighted by a successful fundraiser for Dustin Shurlow, a gym owner battling cancer, which raised an impressive $35,000. The growing camaraderie and support within the CrossFit community continue to inspire athletes and fans alike.
