The 2025 CrossFit Open sees Mirjam von Rohr leading amid a significant registration decline, with competition ongoing until March 17.

The 2025 CrossFit Open is in full swing, with the first workout, 25.1, completed and the second workout, 25.2, currently taking place. This year`s registration has seen a notable decline, with 233,815 athletes signing up, reflecting a 32% drop from the previous year`s total of 343,496, marking the lowest participation since 2014. This significant decrease mirrors the trend observed during the 2020 Open.

In the Open Division, competitors are vying for coveted spots in the 2025 CrossFit Games, with 119,700 men and 89,901 women registered. Mirjam von Rohr and Colten Mertens have emerged as frontrunners in the Open Division for workout 25.1, successfully repeating their impressive performances from last year. The competition is set to continue until March 17, with various qualifying events scheduled throughout the season.

Notably, Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr, a seven-time CrossFit Games champion, has yet to confirm her participation in the 2025 Games but is expected to compete at the Torian Pro. As the Open progresses, athletes will be looking to secure their positions and make their mark in this highly competitive arena.
