Brook century helps Yorks earn draw

At Headingley, Yorkshire and Leicestershire were forced to settle for a draw in the first round of the County Championship despite England's Harry Brook hitting a breathtaking final-day hundred not out.

Joe Root, the former captain of England, will start with Brook for Yorkshire against Gloucestershire on Friday at Bristol, according to coach Ottis Gibson.

Play in this weather-wracked Division Two match was again delayed by rain overnight and a soggy outfield, until Brook reached the crease four balls into the fourth day.
