Sandeep Lamichhane handed eight-year jail

The eight-year prison term for Nepali spinner Sandeep Lamichhane's rape of an eighteen-year-old lady was handed down.

Lamichhane, who is not in detention, was not present on Wednesday when the punishment was announced in a courtroom in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal.


The most well-known cricket player in Nepal, 23 years old, was found guilty of the crime last month.
