Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) secured a thrilling one-run victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Eden Gardens on May 4, 2025. KKR set a competitive total, bolstered by Rahmanullah Gurbaz`s 35 runs off 25 balls and Ajinkya Rahane`s steady contribution.

RR`s chase stumbled early as their top order crumbled, with Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Kunal Singh Rathore, Dhruv Jurel, and Wanindu Hasaranga all dismissed for minimal scores. However, skipper Riyan Parag ignited hope for RR with a sensational 95 runs, including an astonishing six sixes in just seven balls, five of which came consecutively. Despite Parag`s heroics, KKR`s bowlers, particularly Harshit Rana, who took crucial wickets of Shimron Hetmyer and Parag, played a pivotal role in sealing the victory. Moeen Ali and Varun Chakravarthy also contributed significantly, each claiming two wickets.
