Delhi Capitals secured a thrilling Super Over win against Rajasthan Royals, led by Mitchell Starc`s outstanding bowling performance.

Delhi Capitals clinched a nail-biting Super Over victory against Rajasthan Royals in the first tied match of IPL 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 16, 2025. Both teams finished their 20 overs with 188 runs, leading to the dramatic Super Over showdown. Mitchell Starc emerged as the star performer for Delhi, delivering an exceptional final over that restricted Rajasthan to 188/4.

In the Super Over, Rajasthan Royals sent Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag to bat, managing only 11 runs after both were run out on consecutive deliveries. Chasing 12 runs, Delhi Capitals` KL Rahul started strong with a double and a four, while Tristan Stubbs sealed the victory with a six off Sandeep Sharma. Starc, who has taken 10 wickets in six games and achieved a five-wicket haul against Sunrisers Hyderabad, was named Player of the Match.
