India`s cricketing calendar for 2025 has been officially unveiled by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), featuring an exciting home season that kicks off on October 2. The season will commence with a two-match Test series against the West Indies, with the first Test set to take place in Ahmedabad and the second in Kolkata.

Following the West Indies series, India will host South Africa for a historic Test match in Guwahati, marking the city’s inaugural Test match. The Test series against South Africa begins on November 14 in New Delhi and continues in Guwahati on November 22. This series is critical as it leads into a three-match ODI series starting in Ranchi on November 30, followed by a five-match T20I series, concluding with the final T20I in Ahmedabad on December 19.

Concerns have been raised regarding the scheduling of the Test match in New Delhi, particularly due to air quality issues that often arise post-Diwali.
