Bayern Munich, Feyenoord, and Benfica secured crucial Champions League playoff victories, setting the stage for exciting second legs.

Bayern Munich kicked off their Champions League playoff campaign with a 2-1 victory over Celtic. Michael Olise opened the scoring just before halftime in the 45th minute, followed closely by Harry Kane, who netted another goal in the 49th minute. Celtic`s Daizen Maeda managed to pull one back in the 79th minute, but it wasn`t enough to alter the match`s outcome.

In another thrilling encounter, Feyenoord edged past AC Milan with a narrow 1-0 win, thanks to a decisive goal from Brazilian Igor Paixao. Despite strong attempts from Tammy Abraham and Francesco Camarda, AC Milan struggled to break through Feyenoord`s resolute defense, marking a significant victory for the Dutch side.

Benfica also made strides towards the Champions League last 16, securing a 1-0 win against AS Monaco. Vangelis Pavlidis scored the match`s only goal in the 48th minute, shortly before Moatasem al-Musrati received a second yellow card, leaving Monaco with ten men. This victory maintains Benfica`s unbeaten record against Monaco in European competitions.

The knockout phase play-off fixtures will continue with the second legs scheduled for February 18 and 19, as teams vie for a spot in the round of 16 draw on February 21.
