Ivory Coast attempt to 'loan' Herve Renard

An ambitious attempt by Ivory Coast to reinstate former coach Herve Renard for the balance of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations campaign has failed.

Although the French Football Federation (FFF) has rejected a potential "loan" agreement with the Ivorian federation, the 55-year-old is now in control of France Women.


The hosts of the Afcon have advanced to the round of 16, but after two losses in the group stage, manager Jean-Louis Gasset was fired on Wednesday.
