The Tunisians qualified for the quarter-finals of the AFCON 2022, as in 2019. The Carthage Eagles overcame one of the favorites of the competition, Nigeria ( 1-0 ), who played at ten  from the 64th minute of play after the expulsion of #iwobi, author of a sole on a Tunisian when he had just come into play five minutes earlier. The Nigerians, who dominated in a barren fashion, conceded a goal in the 47th minute from #msakni.  Tunisia will face Burkina Faso, who was miraculous against Gabon after Sunday's penalty shootout.
