CAF Ruling on Nigeria vs. Libya Match

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced its decision regarding the aborted match between Libya and Nigeria. The Libyan Football Federation has been found in violation of Article 31 of the Africa Cup of Nations regulations and Articles 82 and 151 of CAF's disciplinary code. Consequently, the match scheduled for October 15, 2024, in Benghazi, is forfeited by Libya with a score of 3-0. Additionally, Libya will incur a $50,000 fine, payable within 60 days. All other requests for reparations have been rejected.
