Stevenson out-points Harutyunyan to retain WBC

On Saturday in Newark, New Jersey, undefeated American Shakur Stevenson won his World Boxing Council lightweight world title by systematically defeating Artem Harutyunyan via unanimous decision.



With ten victories coming from close range, Stevenson raised his record to 22-0 and launched his first successful defense of the title he captured in November by a close decision over Dominican puncher Edwin De Los Santos.
