Britain's Ball wins world title in thriller

In an exciting, top-notch fight, British featherweight champion Nick Ball defeated Raymond Ford to claim the WBA featherweight world title in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Punching till the very end, the fighters showed their world-class credentials, but the Liverpudlian's unrelenting pressure and ferocity won out.

Ball was given the score of 115–113 by two referees, while American Ford was given the same score by one official.
