As the Fever gear up for their 26th season in the WNBA, they are under the guidance of Head Coach Stephanie White, who returns for her third season. The team made a significant playoff appearance in 2024, finishing sixth and marking their first postseason berth since 2016. Additionally, the Fever are investing in their future with plans for a new $78 million practice facility, expected to be completed by 2027.
The WNBA is also expanding, introducing the Golden State Valkyries, who selected Temi Fagbenie from the Fever roster in the expansion draft. The 2025 season is set to kick off with the Connecticut Sun facing the Washington Mystics on May 18. Meanwhile, Mystics coach Sydney Johnson provided an update on two-time MVP Elena Delle Donne, who is currently taking time away from basketball after not signing a supermax offer.
