In a notable three-team trade, the Las Vegas Aces, Los Angeles Sparks, and Seattle Storm exchanged key players, sending Jewell Loyd to the Aces and Kelsey Plum to the Sparks. The Storm received a package of draft picks, including the No. 2 pick in the upcoming draft, enhancing their position to potentially trade for the top pick if Paige Bueckers opts out of playing in Dallas.

The Indiana Fever have also bolstered their roster by signing six-time All-Star DeWanna Bonner to a one-year deal.
