Texas Longhorns secured a vital 61-53 win over Missouri, enhancing their NCAA Tournament prospects and improving SEC record.

The Texas Longhorns men`s basketball team achieved a significant 61-53 victory against the No. 22 Missouri Tigers at the Moody Center in Austin. This win marks the Longhorns` first triumph this season against an AP Poll-ranked opponent and improves their SEC record to 2-4.

Arthur Kaluma was instrumental in the win, leading the team with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Tre Johnson also made a vital contribution, scoring 12 points, including a crucial acrobatic layup in the final minute, despite facing shooting struggles with 3 of 15 from the field. Kadin Shedrick added nine points and nine rebounds, with a notable performance in the closing minutes of the game.

Defensively, the Longhorns excelled by holding Missouri to a season-low in points and limiting SEC Player of the Week Caleb Grill to just six points.
