Memphis Triumphs with Haggerty`s Stellar Performance

Memphis secured a win over Charlotte, led by PJ Haggerty, while Western Carolina triumphed against Notre Dame.

Memphis showcased their dominance with a 77-68 victory over Charlotte on January 20, 2025. PJ Haggerty led the charge for Memphis, scoring 18 points, while Tyrese Hunter contributed 15 points. The team`s strong first half set the tone for the match, allowing them to maintain a significant lead throughout.

In another exciting matchup, Western Carolina defeated Notre Dame 71-61. Vonterius Woolbright was a standout performer, recording 22 points and 11 rebounds, marking his 11th career double-double. Despite a challenging shooting night, he excelled at the free-throw line, making 11 of 12 attempts. Russell Jones Jr. also made a significant impact, scoring 20 points on an efficient 8-for-11 shooting. Western Carolina built a 16-point lead in the second half, but Notre Dame fought back to narrow the gap to 62-59 before Western Carolina extended their lead once more.
