Texas Tech`s Recruiting Surge and Anderson`s MVP Magic

Texas Tech`s recruiting momentum soars while Christian Anderson shines internationally, setting the stage for an exciting future.

Texas Tech is making waves in the world of college basketball recruiting, trending for two more elite prospects in their 2026 class after already securing three blue-chip talents, including the coveted five-star forward Felix Ojo. With 18 total commitments, the Red Raiders are currently ranked No. 2 nationally, solidifying their status as a powerhouse in the making.

In a twist of fate, four-star edge rusher Jamarion Carlton, initially expected to commit to Texas, is now leaning towards Texas Tech or Baylor, with his decision looming on July 10. Meanwhile, the USC Trojans are in the spotlight as five-star combo guard Jason Crowe Jr., the No. 3 combo guard and No. 5 overall player in the nation, prepares to announce his commitment on July 18. Crowe dazzled during a USC practice, showcasing his potential with an impressive average of 35.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 4.0 rebounds last season at Inglewood High School.

On the international front, Texas Tech point guard Christian Anderson delivered a stellar performance, leading Team Germany to an 84-72 victory over Team Slovenia in the FIBA U19 semifinals. Anderson`s 27 points, six assists, and five rebounds not only earned him MVP honors but also propelled his team into the championship game, highlighting the bright future of college basketball talent on the global stage.
