Great Osobor Joins Rockets for NBA Summer League

Great Osobor signs with the Rockets, aiming to shine in the NBA Summer League after a stellar college career.

Great Osobor, the towering 6-foot-8 forward from the University of Washington, is set to make his mark with the Houston Rockets in the upcoming NBA Summer League. Competing from July 10-20, 2025, at the Thomas & Mack Center and Pavilion on the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus, Osobor aims to showcase his skills after going undrafted.

Last season, he was a standout performer for the Huskies, averaging 14.8 points, 8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. His impressive consistency was highlighted by 23 double-doubles, earning him All-Big Ten honorable-mention honors. However, despite his individual success, the Huskies struggled, finishing last in the Big Ten Conference with a 13-18 overall record and a dismal 4-16 in league play. Notably, Osobor was one of college basketball`s highest-paid players, reportedly raking in $2 million.

Osobor`s journey has been closely tied to coach Danny Sprinkle, following him from Montana to Utah State and finally to Washington. Meanwhile, the Charlotte Hornets have also made headlines, signing veteran center Mason Plumlee to a one-year, $3.6 million deal for his 13th NBA season, adding depth to their roster alongside recent Duke draftees.
