Kohl Rosario`s recruitment intensifies as UNC and Duke vie for his commitment, while Illinois showcases a stellar women`s class.

The college basketball recruiting landscape is buzzing with excitement as Kohl Rosario, a breakout sensation from the grassroots circuit, captures the attention of powerhouse programs. The University of North Carolina is keenly pursuing Rosario, hoping to host him for a visit next month. His stock has skyrocketed following a jaw-dropping performance in the EYBL, where he scored 30 points without missing a shot—a feat that has left scouts and coaches alike in awe.

Not to be outdone, Duke University, under the guidance of head coach Jon Scheyer, has also extended an offer to Rosario and secured an official visit scheduled for June 26-27. Meanwhile, in women`s college basketball, the University of Illinois is making headlines with a highly regarded 2025 recruiting class that includes three top-50 prospects. Leading the charge is Destiny Jackson, the reigning Illinois Ms. Basketball and ranked 29th nationally. The Illini are also in the mix for GiGi Battle, a promising 2026 guard from Florida, who has a lineup of visits planned to top programs, including Illinois, Stanford, and Rutgers.
