The White Sox lost to the Tigers, while the Blue Jays fell to the Mets in a tight game.

The Chicago White Sox continued their downward spiral, suffering their fourth consecutive loss with a 7-2 defeat against the Detroit Tigers. Pitcher Davis Martin had a rough start, allowing seven runs in the first three innings, but found his rhythm later in the game.

In a nail-biter, the Toronto Blue Jays fell to the New York Mets in a 3-2 walk-off loss. Chris Bassitt showcased his skills on the mound, striking out nine batters over 6 2/3 innings, while rookie Alan Roden impressed with a walk and two hits.

The New York Yankees celebrated a strong performance from Trent Grisham, who hit a three-run homer against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Meanwhile, Carlos Santana of the Cleveland Guardians hit his first home run of the season, but the Guardians lost 10-4 to the Los Angeles Angels.

The Chicago Cubs, however, had a triumphant outing, defeating the San Diego Padres decisively with a score of 7-1.
