In the men’s doubles semifinals, the Chinese duo of Xie Hao Nan and Zeng Wei Han faced a formidable challenge against the Korean pair of Jin Yong and Seo Seung Jae. The match was a display of strategic prowess, with the Koreans demonstrating exceptional defensive skills that ultimately led them to victory. Despite the Chinese pair`s relentless efforts, they were unable to break through the Korean defense, resulting in a hard-fought defeat.

While Xie and Zeng`s journey ended in the semifinals, the tournament highlighted the competitive landscape of badminton, particularly with the absence of top seeds like Viktor Axelsen and Shi Yuqi. Kunlavut Vitidsarn of Thailand emerged as a standout player, dominating the men’s singles category. Chinese players, including Wang Zhengxing, participated in earlier rounds but could not match Vitidsarn`s performance.

In the women’s singles, Pornpawee Chochuwong was the top seed, although notable Chinese players like Han Yue were not in attendance. The tournament featured a total prize pool of US$240,000, attracting talent from across the globe. The competition ran from January 28 to February 2, culminating in an exciting final day that showcased the best of badminton.
