Chinese Players Shine at India Open 2025

The India Open Badminton 2025 has showcased impressive performances from several Chinese players, highlighting their dominance in the tournament. H.Y. Weng from China advanced in the men's singles Round of 32 after defeating India's Kidambi Srikanth by walkover. This early exit for Srikanth marks a significant moment in the competition.

In the women's singles, PV Sindhu of India secured a victory against Sung Shuo-yun of Taiwan. However, Han Yue of China, the third seed, demonstrated remarkable resilience by overcoming India's Malvika Bansod. After losing the first game 20-22, Han Yue rallied back to win the next two games with scores of 21-16 and 21-11, showcasing her skill and determination.

The men's singles also featured notable matches, including Su Li Yang, originally from China but representing Taiwan, who triumphed over H.S. Prannoy of India. Prannoy won the first game 21-16, but Yang's experience shone through as he claimed the next two games 21-18 and 21-12.

In the men's doubles, the Chinese duo of Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang faced off against Malaysia's Ong Yew Sin and Teo Ee Yi, winning a closely contested match with scores of 21-12, 19-21, and 21-15 in the Round of 16.

Additionally, in the women's doubles Round of 32, Xu Luo Min and Y Li from China defeated India's Rashmi Ganesh and Sania Sikkandar convincingly with scores of 21-8 and 21-9. These results underscore the strong performances of Chinese and Chinese-origin players across various categories in the tournament.
