The 2025 AFL Sydney Women’s Premier Division is set to ignite with the East Coast Eagles leading the charge after clinching their third consecutive premiership in 2024. With the addition of Taylor Canobie from UTS AFC Bats, the Eagles are poised for another dominant season as they face the Manly Warringah Wolves in Round One at Weldon Oval on March 29.

The Wolves, last season`s runners-up, are eager to elevate their game with new talents Jenna Whitehand and Stephanie Wilkins joining their ranks. Their opening match against the Eagles promises to be a thrilling encounter.

Meanwhile, the Parramatta Goannas are revamping their squad after a solid 2024 campaign. Despite losing Sophie Kavanagh to North Shore Bombers, they welcome back Amanda Farrugia, who will provide crucial leadership. The Goannas will take on UTS AFC Bats at Monarch Oval on March 29.

North Shore Bombers have made significant acquisitions, including Kavanagh and Georgie Fowler, as they prepare to face Pennant Hills in their opening match. Sydney University is also looking to build on their strong finals run, bolstered by the addition of Georgina Gough.

The UTS AFC Bats, narrowly missing finals last season, have strengthened their squad with key signings. The UNSW-ES Bulldogs aim to improve with Aimee Whelan`s arrival, while St. George Dragons focus on developing their young talent.
