Grange and Forrest Shine at Cambridgeshire Champs

Joseph Grange showcased his dominance at the Cambridgeshire Championships held in St Neots on January 5, 2025, winning the under-20 men's race with an impressive lead of over 150 metres ahead of his clubmates Will Nuttall and defending champion Sam Plummer. Grange, who placed third in the Southern Championships in 2024, proved his mettle in this competitive field.

In the under-17 girls' category, Olivia Forrest successfully defended her title, demonstrating her consistent performance. Her Brentwood Beagles teammates, Summer Smith and Madison Kindler, also made significant contributions in the younger girls' events, highlighting the strength of their club.

The senior men's race saw A Hickey from Southend clinch victory with a time of 39:24, followed closely by C Charleston from Chelmsford and J Stewart from Havering. Southend emerged as the top team with 77 points, followed by Woodford Green with Essex Ladies and Colchester H.

At the Hertfordshire and Middlesex Joint Championships in Trent Park, Hertfordshire runners excelled, with Brett Rushman, Oscar Bell, and Tom Butler leading the pack. Annabel Gummow led a strong performance in the senior women's event, clocking in at 56:11. George Stubbs from St Albans won the under-20 men's race, while Hertfordshire Phoenix dominated the under-17 men's race with Luke Dunham finishing first.

In the Kent County Championships, Joseph Kingston from Tonbridge took the men's 12km race, further solidifying Tonbridge's position at the top of the team standings.
