Description
On December 19, 2024, the National Indoor Arena in Abbotstown, Dublin, hosted several key events in the track and field calendar. Here are the highlights from the recent competitions:
Men's 60 Metres
The men's 60 metres final saw Lorcan Murphy take the top spot with a time of 6.94 seconds. Kenji Miyauchi and Gavin Witter followed closely, finishing second and third with times of 7.14 and 7.24 seconds, respectively.
Men's 800 Metres Short Track
In the men's 800 metres short track event, Jack O'Donnell secured the first place with a time of 1:53.81. Adam Bradley and James Kelly trailed behind, finishing second and third with times of 1:55.43 and 1:56.05 seconds.
Men's Mile Short Track
Louie Woodger emerged victorious in the men's mile short track, completing the distance in 4:23.50. Ben Brunton came in second with a time of 4:24.95.
Women's 60 Metres
Ria Kelly dominated the women's 60 metres final, crossing the finish line in 7.85 seconds. Bevan McCaffrey and Sarah Kiernan took the second and third places with times of 7.95 and 8.02 seconds.
Women's 400 Metres Short Track
Caoimhe Fitzsimons won the women's 400 metres short track event with a time of 59.72 seconds, narrowly beating Irantzu Garate who finished in 59.79 seconds.
