Kenya's Ian Okinyi has made a remarkable debut at the Africa Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships, securing three gold and three silver medals. The 15-year-old, competing in the 55kg category, expressed excitement over his achievements and aims for more in the 2026 Youth Olympics in Dakar. He credited his coach, Winnie Langat, for her guidance and discipline. Fellow competitor Joseph Amunga also triumphed, winning three golds in the 61kg category, celebrating his long-awaited success.
