Christophe Lemaitre retires at age 34

Four-time European champion and 200-meter world and Olympic bronze medallist Christophe Lemaitre announced his retirement from athletics on Thursday.



The 34-year-old, who hasn't participated in an international competition since 2018, explained that the choice was made because of the emergence of a different injury, which dashed any last dreams of competing in the Paris Olympics.
