AIU bans M. Katir from Athletics for 2 years..

Mohamed Katir, world runner-up in the 5000m, was suspended for two years by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) on Friday for three breaches of whereabouts regulations for doping controls. “Mohamed Katir admitted an anti-doping rule violation and was banned by the Athletics Integrity Unit for two years, following three failures to provide whereabouts information during “a period of 12 months,” the independent agency which carries out anti-doping controls on behalf of World Athletics said in a statement.
