The crowd at Hayward Field erupted as Laros crossed the finish line, a testament to the razor-thin margins that define elite athletics.

The men’s 400 meters saw Great Britain`s Matthew Hudson-Smith seize the top position with a remarkable time of 44.10 seconds, closely followed by Christopher Bailey from the USA, who finished just behind at 44.15 seconds.
