Eden Robinson Shines at Millfield Athletics Championships

Eden Robinson`s stellar 14.2s in the 100m Hurdles highlights Millfield`s dominance in athletics this season.

Eden Robinson opened her season with a stunning performance at Millfield School`s athletics round-up, clocking an impressive 14.2 seconds in the 100m Hurdles. This remarkable time currently places her third in the UK for U20 women, showcasing her potential as a rising star in the sport. Alongside her, Upper Sixth Carys Leyshon also made her mark with a solid 15.19 seconds in the same event.

In the Shot Put, Robinson continued to impress with a throw of 11.97 meters, further establishing her dominance in multiple disciplines. Meanwhile, Year 11 athlete Mimi Woodliffe shone in the Inter Girls Heptathlon, finishing 11th overall with a personal best of 3294 points, earning the title of Somerset Schools Champion.

The Junior Girls Pentathlon saw Year 9`s Olivia Greenova take third place with a personal best of 2520 points, also claiming the Somerset Schools Champion title. Emilia Harmer, also in Year 9, secured sixth place with a personal best of 2370 points, earning the Somerset Schools Bronze.

Millfield`s Inter and Senior Girls showcased their strength at the Achilles Relays, dominating the track by winning nearly every event entered, including the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. With 80 students now selected to represent the Mendip Area at the upcoming Somerset Schools Championships, Millfield continues to solidify its reputation as a powerhouse in athletics.
