Colby`s Levi Biery Shines in Track and Field Honors

Levi Biery`s stellar performance in the 400 Hurdles highlights Colby`s success in track and field, alongside Harding`s national ranking.

Levi Biery from Colby College has made headlines by being named the Men`s Track Athlete of the Week in the NESCAC after his remarkable victory in the 400 Hurdles at the Emory Thrills in the Hills meet, clocking an impressive 52.19 seconds. This performance not only secured him the weekly honor but also established the best time in Division III for the season.

The Colby women`s 4x400 relay team, featuring Tally Zeller, Olivia Doherty, Kaitlyn Ewald, and Fiona Mejico, also delivered an outstanding performance, winning their event with a time of 3:44.14. This victory not only earned them the top time in Division III but also shattered the school record that had stood since 2013.

In field events, Vincent VanMaaren from Williams College was recognized as the Men`s Field Athlete of the Week for his pole vault achievement of 4.92 meters, placing him fifth in Division III. Jae Yu, also from Williams, won the women`s pole vault with a mark of 3.75 meters, ranking her 11th in Division III.

Additionally, the Harding University men`s track and field team has climbed to No. 4 in the USTFCCCA Division II weekly poll, showcasing standout performances from athletes like Spencer Helms and Yves Bilong. The Bisons are gearing up for the Bryan Phillips Open on April 4-5 in Searcy, Arkansas, where they will display their top-ranked talent across various events.
