The GB & NI throwing team excelled at the European Throwing Cup, with standout performances from Vincent, Norris, Payne, and Simpson.

The GB & NI throwing team kicked off their outdoor season with impressive performances at the European Throwing Cup in Cyprus. Serena Vincent led the charge in the women`s shot put, achieving a season`s best throw of 17.15m. Jake Norris also showcased his talent in the hammer throw, recording a season`s best of 75.61m.

In the women`s hammer throw, both Charlotte Payne and Amber Simpson delivered standout performances, with Payne throwing 67.51m and Simpson closely following with 67.29m, marking their own season`s bests. These results highlight the team`s readiness as they gear up for a competitive season ahead.

In addition to the throwing events, England Athletics is actively promoting initiatives aimed at enhancing the athletic experience, including inspiring running opportunities and a new private medical insurance plan for athletes. The British Athletics team is also preparing for future competitions, having recently participated in the World Athletics Indoor Championships, with selections announced for the upcoming 2025 event.
