Liberia champions Watanga have touched down in Port Harcourt, Rivers State ahead of their weekend CAF Champions League first leg preliminary clash with their hosts, Rivers United.
The club website announced the team arrived safely and were whisked to their hotel ahead of Sunday's CAF CL showdown.
The champions travelled on the back of a 1-1 draw with last season's runners-up Bea Mountain at the SKD Practice Pitch midweek in a game that was played over two days following waterlogged pitch.
Watanga pipped Bea Mountain to the LFA ORANGE league title last season with just a single point, while Rivers United won the Nigerian 20-team Premier League table 10 points clear of Plateau United.
The two meet in the first leg of CAF's CL first leg preliminary round on Sunday, 11 September with the reverse fixture in Monrovia in a sennight's time.
