The main event showcases reigning ONE Featherweight MMA World Champion Tang Kai, who enters the octagon with an impressive 12-fight winning streak. He will face undefeated challenger Akbar “Bakal” Abdullaev, who boasts an unblemished professional record of 11-0 and a remarkable finishing rate. Abdullaev has finished all but two of his fights in the first round, with five of those stoppages occurring in under two minutes. To secure victory, Abdullaev will need to utilize his early aggression to counter the experience of the seasoned champion, Tang Kai.
Another highlight of the card is the battle for the ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight MMA World Title, featuring Denice “The Menace” Zamboanga against Alyona Rassohyna. Zamboanga, currently the 2 contender in the atomweight rankings, is riding a three-fight winning streak. Rassohyna, known for being one of the few fighters to have defeated reigning champion Stamp Fairtex, will be looking to claim the interim title and set up a unification bout against Fairtex.
Additional notable matchups include John “Hands of Stone” Lineker taking on Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai in a Muay Thai bout, and Luke Lessei facing Cody Jerome in a Muay Thai featherweight clash. The event also features Tommy Langaker vs. Dante Leon in a submission grappling match, as well as several other exciting fights across various disciplines, including MMA and Muay Thai.
To ensure the safety and well-being of the athletes, the event will implement a rigorous hydration-testing protocol. Fans can catch the weigh-ins and hydration tests live on January 9, 2025, starting at 5 a.m. ET/2 a.m. PT, adding to the excitement leading up to the main event.
