Parker Aims for Heavyweight Glory Against Dubois

Joseph Parker is set to challenge Daniel Dubois for the heavyweight title next month, aiming to become a two-time world champion. The 32-year-old New Zealander has shown impressive form since teaming up with trainer Andy Lee in 2021, highlighted by back-to-back victories over Derek Chisora. Parker's first bout against Chisora ended in a split decision after he was knocked down early, but he secured a more decisive win in their rematch.

Despite a setback against Joe Joyce, where Parker suffered a stoppage loss, he has bounced back with five consecutive victories, including notable wins over Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang. These performances have positioned him for a title shot against Dubois, who is also riding high after recent stoppage victories against Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic, and Anthony Joshua.

Derek Chisora has predicted a knockout victory for Dubois within five rounds, citing concerns over Parker's chin and Dubois's punching power. The 27-year-old champion appears confident, especially given the similarities in his fight with Joshua. However, there are whispers that Dubois may be looking past Parker, as he has recently called out Oleksandr Usyk for a rematch following Usyk's win over Tyson Fury.

Meanwhile, Chisora is preparing for his own fight against Otto Wallin on February 8 in Manchester, marking the 49th bout of his career, which he has vowed to extend to 50.
