VDub`s Return Sparks Spurs Victory Over Pelicans

The San Antonio Spurs snapped their three-game losing streak with a thrilling 121-116 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday at the Frost Bank Center. The key to this win was the return of Victor Wembanyama, also known as VDub, who had missed the previous two games due to lower back soreness.

VDub made a significant impact in his return, scoring 25 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. His presence was crucial as the Spurs had gone 0-2 in his absence. Rookie guard Stephon Castle also had a standout performance, contributing 22 points to the team's effort.

The win brings the Spurs to a 12-12 record, placing them in the 11th spot in the highly competitive Western Conference. They are now just a half game behind the Los Angeles Lakers for the last play-in tournament spot and only two games behind the Los Angeles Clippers for the 6th seed.

In another notable achievement, Chris Paul moved into second place all-time in assists during the game. With 10 assists against the Pelicans, Paul now has 12,099 career assists, trailing only John Stockton's record of 15,806.
