That performance would not have troubled Australia

Despite defeating Samoa 34–18 to start their two-Test series, Shaun Wane feels his England squad "needs to be better" and that their performance "would not have troubled Australia".
A new-look Samoan team with eight debutants held the hosts at several points during the match after they controlled the first few minutes of the match and took a 16-0 lead in Wigan.
Even though England played brilliantly at times, they gave up two interception tries, and Wane was not pleased with their 82% completion percentage or the way penalties crept in to give their opponents a chance to win the game again.
