Schools to offer non-contact rugby

The Rugby Football Union will have to deal with a "decline in participation over injury fears" by introducing a non-contact form of rugby union in schools.
Due to injury concerns and the perception that it is a challenging game to introduce, less people are participating in rugby at the youth level and conventional private schools, according to an RFU analysis.
Schools will be able to offer different variations of the game throughout their "compulsory rugby term" by supporting contact, reduced contact, and non-contact formats.
