'Liverpool contract extension talks have begun'

With his current contract set to expire at the end of the current campaign, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has stated that formal talks over a contract extension have started at the Premier League club.
The Merseyside team has won the Premier League, Champions League, two League Cup medals, the FA Cup, and the Club World Cup since the 33-year-old Dutch international defender signed from Southampton in 2018.
