The Portuguese newspaper "A Bola" highlighted the brilliance of the Saudi Al-Nassr star, as he reached the 133rd goal in 215 matches wearing the "navigators" jersey.
It added: "The Don began his appearance with Portugal on August 20, 2003, when Joao Neves and Antonio Silva had not yet been born, while Renato Viega was only 22 days old."
The newspaper explained that Cristiano scored the same number of goals scored by some Portuguese legends combined, such as: Pauleta (47 goals), Eusebio (41), Figo (32), and Matateo (13).
The newspaper also highlighted Bernardo Silva's, the Manchester City star, outstanding career, as he first appeared in the Portugal jersey on March 31, 2015. In less than a decade, he reached 96 international matches.
Bernardo became the eighth most participant with the Portuguese national team ever, with only Rui Patricio (108 matches), Fernando Couto (11, Nani (112), Figo (127), Pepe (141), Joao Moutinho (146), and Ronaldo (215) ahead of him.
