ICC Commence Training Of Women's Cricket Coach


Today, the ICC launched the Future Leaders Program, with Devarain Dinesha from South Africa selected as the mentor coach. The program, running in Kigali until Saturday, targets future leaders in cricket and focuses on women who:

1. Are currently involved in coaching
2. Will be active in cricket coaching in their respective countries for at least two years, including potential head coaches.

The first session included coaches from the ongoing #u19awwcqualifiers in Kigali:

1. Gislaine Umubyeyi (Rwanda)
2. Nonhlahla Kamuteku (Zimbabwe)
3. Monica Pascal (Tanzania)
Sandrah Achwao (Uganda)
5. Sarah Bakitah (Nigeria)
6. Etim Blessing (Nigeria)
7. Margaret Banja (Kenya)
8. Tamala Mpandakwaya (Malawi)

The ICC aims to promote sustainable and impactful participation of women in cricket coaching at the highest level.
