Babe Ruth jersey sells for record £18.1m

The most costly sports memorabilia to be auctioned off is the jersey that baseball hero Babe Ruth wore when he "called the shot" in the 1932 World Series.

The £18.1 million ($24.12 million) Ruth's jersey brought in far more than the £9.53 million ($12.6 million) that a 1952 Topps baseball card showing New York Yankees outfielder Mickey Mantle brought in in 2022.
