Roglic’s redemption in ruins

Primoz Roglic resigned from the Tour de France before Friday's 13th stage, leaving his hopes of winning in ruins ahead of this weekend's two difficult mountain stages. This comes after two falls in the preceding two days.

Although Slovenian Roglic has won the Giro d'Italia once and the Vuelta a Espana three times, he is most remembered for his disastrous final-day collapse during a time trial in 2020 that cost him the Tour de France.
