Davis knocks out Martin to retain WBA title

In Las Vegas, WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis defeated Frank Martin in the eighth round to keep the championship.

Martin was sent to the mat by Davis's left uppercut and left hook, which he executed after backing his fellow American up the ropes.

With his record now at 30-0, including 28 knockouts, Davis, also known as the Tank, celebrated by backflipping into the ring while perched atop the ropes.
