Wimbledon prize pot increases to record £50m

Next month, Wimbledon will award a record £50 million in prize money, with the two singles winners taking home £2.7 million apiece.

Carlos Alcaraz and Marketa Vondrousovan, the winners of the previous year, took home a then-record £2.35 million.

The wheelchair events have also seen a 35% boost, bringing their total prize pool to £1 million; however, this is mostly due to a larger draw.
