De Minaur stuns Medvedev to reach quater finals

At the French Open on Monday, Alex de Minaur overcame a 20-year Australian curse by defeating fifth seed Daniil Medvedev 4-6, 6-2, 6-1, 6-3, and making his first-ever quarterfinal at Roland Garros.

With his win over Suzanne Lenglen, De Minaur became the first man from his country to make it to the claycourt Grand Slam round since Lleyton Hewitt in 2004. Medvedev's mid-match stumble owing to a foot issue may have also contributed to Minaur's triumph.
