Pogacar on brink after sixth stage win in Giro

With Sunday's processional run to Rome still to come, Tadej Pogacar further demonstrated his command of the Giro d'Italia by winning the sixth stage to increase his lead overall to nearly ten minutes.

36 kilometers from the finish line in Bassano del Grappa, the 25-year-old Slovenian rider launched an assault on the last climb of the 20th stage, blasting up Monte Grappa and away from his competitors.

Finishing sixth on his 38th birthday, Geraint Thomas of Britain performed enough to maintain his podium position and finish third overall.
